SYSTEM DESIGN

The three corner speakers in this system are custom built from a design by Nicky Siano, the famous DJ who designed the first crossover and bass horn for the 70’s club scene (www.nickysiano.com), and professional sound man Danny Prosseda. The three main corner speakers are based on the Klipschorn corner speaker design, often considered too expensive and sensitive for club use. These Klipschorn’s were modified for lower bass response, reduction in high end harshness AND durability. We used heavier wood to make the speakers sturdier. We used better drivers for sound quality and DJ abuse. The low-end cabinet is closest to the Klipsch design, with a slight increase in size to produce an impressive 18Hrz low end. The top end was represented by a tin sweep horn for Klipsch but our wooden cabinets, loaded with dual BC Sound 8” cones and crowned with one JBL Bullet for each cabinet, eliminated the harsh tin sound. The speaker's warmer sound is far more versatile and best suits the club experience for volume and durability. So you get the CLASS A sound, without any of the drawbacks. IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF PHENOMINAL. The entire speaker stands 7.5 feet tall, 4 feet wide and weigh over 100 pounds each. This would blow any club system away, but for concert sound, it would be the extra high end audio components that would make your sound stand out from anyone elses. all speakers have passive crossovers, so no external crossover is required. I use the system with one speaker left, one speaker right and one speaker center.

EQUIPMENT LIST

THE THREE MAIN FULL RANGE SPEAKERS CONSIST OF:
- 3 Low End Folded Corner Horns—the low end of the three main speakers. These cabinets were designed to deliver the lowest, best sounding bass available. We compare them to the Klipsch corner low end, with our design slightly larger, thicker heavier wood, and a far superior 15” woofer; our design offers greater efficiency, far better durability and a lower end response down to 18 Hz. They are loaded with the company 18 SOUNDS, 15 Inch Extended Low Frequency Neodymiom Transducer, a CLASS A audio speaker that is absolutely unparallel in sound design, and quite expensive.

- 3 Mid to High End Top Cabinets—these cabinets were custom crafted to produce a wider sweep WITHOUT the usual harsh tinhorn top. They are loaded with TWO BC SOUNDS 8” CX21, coned speakers, which have a frequency response of 75-2000 Hz.

- 3 Ultra High Frequency JBL Tweeter Bullets—one JBL Bullet is mounted on top of each cabinet to provide the sizzle, without harshness, in the very high top frequencies that ignite a dance floor.

- 3 Wooden Rises---custom, sturdy wooden rises are used between the low end and mid range cabinets, lifting the mid/ high cabinets above the heads of dancers. Alternatively these mid range cabinets can be placed as needed.

1 Bass Horn—this classic custom cabinet is also based upon the Klipschorn design, BUT is scaled up greatly, to produce the lowest frequencies and deliver the warmest sub bass. This is also a corner speaker, but it is usually used lying on its side, creating a corner between the wall and floor. This folded bass horn was designed and purchased from Alex Rosner of Rosner Custom Sound, and is the original design used at the legendary club the Gallery many years ago. It is loaded with a NEW 15” bass horn. The sound from a folded bass horn is significantly warmer, producing a wide smooth bass response, rather then the popping sound of front loaded bass horns.

ALL EXTRA LONG HIGH END CONNECTION CABLES INCLUDED.
